Benefiting Northern Illinois Pug Rescue & PugHearts of Houston
For this month’s virtual run, it is an honor to again support the Northern Illinois Pug Rescue, and we’re super excited to also introduce PugHearts of Houston as a split charity partner for the month. As you know, the Houston area was hit by hurricane Harvey and saw some severe flooding.
As most pug rescues operate through the gracious volunteers who share their homes as “remote shelters,” many volunteers in the Houston area and their foster pugs were impacted. Additionally, after any great disaster, many animals are displaced and find themselves in rescue.
If you love pugs, this run is a great way to support two organizations that do amazing things in their communities.
You can also make an additional donation at checkout. (Sorry, we cannot filter out what donations go to either org, it will simply be split 50/50, so know that your dollars are doing good!)
This race, called Virtual Pug Run: Game of Bones House Puggister – Hear Me Snore, is the third of our Game of Thrones parody runs. When you participate, you will receive a 3″ diecast medal with sublimated high color satin finish ribbon. What’s especially cool about this double-sided medal is it will fit together with the medals given out for our other four Game of Bones races, ultimately making up a gorgeous Game of Bones puzzle. And don’t fret if you didn’t participate in our first and second Game of Bones run. When you register for this race, you will be given the opportunity to purchase the first and second medals.
Most importantly, every runner gets a medal – it doesn’t matter how fast or slow you go (or if you walk with your pup), so join us for some fundraising fun & get your steps in!
